Easy to Assemble - Fully PTFE Lined End Fitting - Larger Bore than Conventional PFA Encap Fittings
In response to requests from customers Aflex have developed a basic range of PTFE encapsulated end fittings.
These can be used in place of standard non-lined end fittings to provide a PTFE lined alternative for threaded end fitting types where integral lining is not possible. They also provide a cost effective alternative to exotic metals such as hastelloy where high levels of chemical resistance are required.
Encap fittings do not provide the same advantages as integral lined fittings. The full hose bore size through the fitting is reduced and entrapment areas are present at the end of the encapsulated hose tail.
Encap fittings provide a fully PTFE lined fitting with a flared face, which is easier to assemble. The Aflex Encap fitting design has a significantly larger bore than the conventional PFA encapsulated fittings available from other suppliers.
Encap Fittings are assembled and crimped using the same non-lined ferrules, crimp diameters and assembly procedures that are used with standard direct crimp fittings throughout the Aflex PTFE hose product range.
The PTFE encapsulation is either natural or antistatic PTFE as required, with a PTFE wall thickness of 1.5mm (0.060”) for sizes up to 1¹/2” and 1.8mm (0.070”) for sizes 2” and above.
Encapsulated fittings are available for all Corroline+ Self Assembly Distributors.
Important Note: The use of Encap fittings with hoses, ferrules or other components which are not all supplied by Aflex Hose is strictly prohibited and no liability will be accepted for any failures resulting from such abuse.

These end fittings can be supplied to the Encap design but, only as 'Specials' (= Specially made to order as Non-Stock Items).

|*||These parallel male threaded end fittings can only be used where the connecting component forms a seal against the PTFE sealing face. Connections to a BSP Taper Female Fitting or, a 'Bonded Washer' type connection are, therefore, not acceptable.|
