Transfer of Aflex Operations to Bradley Park, Huddersfield
Further to our new site notification in October 2019, we are pleased to announce that the new purpose-built, manufacturing and office facility at Bradley Park, Huddersfield was successfully completed on time. Located just a few miles from our current main site, the new facility will consolidate four UK manufacturing operations into one, improving production flow while providing space for the company’s continued successful growth into new and existing markets.
We are now in the process of transferring our existing production equipment to the new site. Long in the planning, this is taking a carefully phased approach. Commencing in May 2020, this is due for completion mid-2021.
As previously communicated there will be no change in raw material type, grade, or source, nor will there be any change in processing method. Following installation, each process line will be re-validated, and its output compared with pre-move production.
Throughout the planning stage for the new site, we have been building inventory, to ensure security of supply for our customers during the validation process. Now, as we move through the project, we are maintaining a dialogue with the certification bodies and are arranging audits to transfer our certificates to the new production site, ensuring the continued quality assurance you have come to expect from Aflex.
Our aim is a seamless transition to the new site, with zero impact on our customers’ businesses, while realising the logistical and quality assurance benefits of consolidated operations. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the move, please contact me directly, or speak to your regular Aflex contact.
