The purchasing of new equipment is in line with the company's expansion and investment policy, and follows substantial investments in our facilities and manufacturing capabilities, to fulfil increased demand for the world's ultimate PTFE hoses, allowing Aflex to service all the market requirements.

The new laser marker was introduced in light of stringent market demands, with the importance of easy identification and more efficient hose traceability being emphasised amongst process manufacturers. Comprehensive hose traceability is a crucial requirement in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Chemical world where total clarity of process technology is fundamental to maintain full validation processes.

Labelled serial numbers are essential to allow our customers to trace the full manufacturing history of the hose assembly and track all components through the supply chain. Every Aflex process hose assembly is supplied with an indelible unique serial number, giving our customers peace of mind, knowing that in the unlikely event that an Aflex hose should ever need replacing then action can be taken immediately to efficiently supply a new hose, minimising plant down time, and saving you time and money!

Customers can request specific tagging information to be included on a hose assembly and other than on a standard marker rings, we can tag on ferrules, flat plates, or end fittings if preferred. As standard all Aflex hose assemblies are labelled with the following information:

• Manufacturer's Name (Aflex Hose Ltd)
• Hose Size and Grade
• Max. Working Pressure
• Unique Serial Number
• Month & Year of Manufacture
• Aflex Hose Telephone Number
• CE Mark (if applicable)

Aflex can also offer alternative tagging methods like our patented Puretag design, the world's first fully integrated sanitary hose labelling system. Puretag is available on all hose products with an EPDM or Silicone rubber cover and is a user-friendly label design that provides a more effective way to manage and maintain your hose systems, and maximise your plant efficiency.
