Corroflon and Bioflex are well known products in Pharma and Biotech applications, but are now being increasingly used as a Chemical Hose in Chemical Plants around the world.
The primary reason is the fact that when used in the many chemical hose applications, where corrosion resistance is specifically required, the PTFE hose lining provides the ultimate corrosion resistant hose product.
This thick wall PTFE lining is also extended through the bore of the end fittings, then flared to form the sealing face, isolating and protecting the end fitting from the corrosive fluid passing through.
In Chemical Hose applications, another benefit of the PTFE hose lining is that the media passing through will not be subject to any contamination from chemical reaction with the hose lining - often a problem with conventional chemical hose products which have non-PTFE hose lining, and which are not able to provide the excellent resistance to chemical reactions which is ensured by using PTFE.
Other PTFE and FEP lined chemical hose products are available from other suppliers, but experience over time has shown that the thinner wall section, poorly processed PTFE and hose design faults have often led to premature failure, leading customers to switch to the tried and proven Corroflon and Bioflex products from Aflex Hose.
Whether being used as an acid resistant hose, or for general chemical resistance against alkaline solution or corrosive media like chlorine or sodium hydrochloride, Corroflon or Bioflex are chemical resistant hose products, which can be relied upon to perform successfully and reliably.
