CNC SETTER / OPERATOR

We are looking to strengthen our team and have an opportunity for a CNC Setter / Operator to further develop our global client base and increase sales.

Operating, setting and potentially programming CNC lathes with responsibility for ensuring and checking the quality of your work.

To be considered for this position, you will have: -

• GCSE or higher in Maths and English
• Experience of setting and operating CNC metal machining 2 axis lathes
• A good knowledge of Fanuc control systems
• The ability to read engineering drawings
• An understanding of both imperial and metric measurement systems
• Experience of using micrometers and verniers

It is essential that you are able to work a rotating 3 shift pattern.

Ideally you will possess: -

• An engineering based apprenticeship
• Having worked with stainless steel or exotic metals
• The ability to edit programmes of Fanuc controlled equipment
• Experience of using manually operated metal working equipment such as lathes and milling machines
